Private Garden, Gloucestershire
From Start to finish, turning a unruly back to the house into a nice "out-door room" area to relax into the evening.
The brief was to create a outdoor space separated off from the rest of the garden, in which you walk into. Some stone slabs were put down to replicate the traditionally used coursed pattern of the cotswolds and surrounding areas. They wanted a raised planter to surround the / divide off the area, and we suggested to soften the material pallet from all the hard stone, a wooden one to last, being made from the American hard wood Ipe. It has a really nice Matt type look to it, and you get lovely colours variants with the board blends. It also blends really nicely with the colours of the Hidcote Lavender.
